Beth Garvey
Chief Executive Officer
In 1998, Beth began at InStaff as the Director of Human Resources. With motivation, drive and vision, Beth worked her way through leadership positions within the organization, including, VP of Operations and Chief Operations Officer. In November, 2009, she was named CEO. Beth loves the industry, creative solutions, mentoring and empowering others to be their very best self. Respect, giving back and making a difference are key to Beth’s leadership style. She is accessible and encourages all around her to dream it and do it. Beth’s laugh and constant encouragement fuel who we are and where we are going; there are no limits!
One of Beth’s favorite phrases is Actions speak Louder than Words. Actions partnered with integrity are the foundations for all partnerships. Beth believes in doing the right thing….just because it is the right thing. Our clients are always in for a treat as we strive to WOW them with service, loyalty and friendship.
Beth serves on the Board of Directors for InStaff, Junior Achievement and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. She is married to Nick and they have an amazing 15 year old daughter, Catherine.

Melinda Hooks-Smith
Senior Vice President
Melinda is known as our “Good Will Ambassador” and if you’re around her for any amount of time you can see why. She is the definition of positive energy and it shows in how she engages both clients and staff. Graduating with a BBA in Marketing/Finance from Baylor University, Melinda joined the team in 2007 as an Account Executive in the Dallas market. Asking questions, absorbing information, and offering solutions have been the foundation for her professional growth and advancement. Melinda strongly believes that purple is her power color and that there ‘ain’t no mountain high enough’ to keep us from attaining our goals. Her can-do attitude and endless energy are matched only by her desire to exceed our clients expectations.
Melinda, a country girl at heart, is married to Anthony and they have 3 beautiful children Nobel (10), Kenzie (8) and Tristan Belle (6). |

Candy Arrington
Vice President of Accounting and Strategic Planning
Candy started her career with InStaff as an accounting clerk ten years ago. Since then she has mastered every job responsibility and earned each promotion. Candy was elevated to InStaff’s Controller in 2005 where she has been an integral part of the Company’s management team. Candy constantly challenges all of her colleagues and employees to find new solutions. Her drive to get the job done right the first time is an inspiration to the entire InStaff team. Away from the office Candy is able to display her passion for her community through active civic involvement – as the Founder of the American Cancer Society’s Wylie Relay for Life, Civic Director for the Wylie Women’s League, and as the Founder of the Wylie is HOPE charity. In 2009 Candy was nominated for the Wylie Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year award. Despite this busy schedule Candy manages to enjoy free time with her husband of eleven years Jeff, and her two children Christina 17, and Connor 13. |
